Made with ancient Black Maire root, turned over in a paddock here on our farm, these statement piece earrings have been handcrafted and shaped to form a maire leaf, complete with a copper stem running up the centre.

To showcase the timber, the reverse side has been oiled and the top side has been finished with resin, sealing the copper and allowing the grain of the maire to really pop.

The Black Maire (Nestegis cunninghami) tree typically symbolises strength and is one of New Zealand’s hardest timber.
