This photograph captures one of the sweetest and most unexpected moments from life here at Cairnsmore, the unlikely friendship between Duck-Duck and a tiny rescued rabbit.

Duck-Duck was pushed from her nest by her mother, and around the same time our cat delivered a baby rabbit to the doorstep. I gently scooped the rabbit up, settled both of them together into the hutch… and to my surprise, they curled into one another and became instant companions.

The rabbit has since found its way back into the wild and now wanders freely around the garden, occasionally checking in. Duck-Duck is still searching for a long-term friend, but this tender moment of their short-lived companionship remains one of my favourite memories, a reminder of the gentle connections that arise in the most unexpected ways. This fine art black-and-white print captures and holds us in that moment.

It is available in three sizes and printed on silk matt stock for simplicity and longevity.
